Una Hartsock's Beefsteak

Large, deep pink beefsteak tomato. Beautiful, hefty fruit with little cracking. Indeterminate. Regular leaves. Slightly flattened to flattened fruit shape. Persistent green shoulders at maturity. Strongly recessed stem end with very pronounced ribbing. Cat-facing at blossom end is common. 2-3 fruit per cluster. Fruit measure 3-3.5" long; 4.5-6.3" wide; and weigh 1.2-2.3lbs. Brix score: 5.3. Low productivity when grown in 2015 at Heritage Farm. Highly exserted flower stigma. Early maturing. Donated to SSE by Calvin Wait (MO WA C). This variety was introduced into the SSE Exchange by Stephen Earp (IA EA S) in the 1980s. Earp acquired this variety from obtained from Una Hartsock of Nickelsville, VA. SSE Accession # 125841
