Rev. Taylor's Running Butterbean Mix

Pole lima. 3-4 seeds per pod. It is a mix variety withat least 9 different solid colors and patterns. These include maroon, black, buff, and white with various blotches and stripes. These are 100% hard seeded, so must be nicked before soaking- though they still have thick, tough skin. When eaten at the baby stage, they taste like green peas. During the 2021 growout at Heritage Farm, only two patterns were seen. However, the population size was only 3 plants due to late frost. Pods are 2.5-3" long. Late maturing variety.
