Pepper tomato. Red, cylindrical to heart-shaped fruit with a pointed end. Fruit ripens somewhat unevenly, with some ripe fruit retaining green or yellow patches. Minor radial and concentric cracking. Susceptible to sun scald. Fruit born in clusters of up to four. Indeterminate growth habit. Standard leaves. Stigmas even with stamens. Ripe fruit reach 2.6-4.0" long by 2.0-3.1" wide and weigh 0.3-0.5 lbs. Standard flavor. Moderately sweet with medium acidity. Meaty. Average productivity when grown in 2013 at Heritage Farm. Late maturing. Acquired by SSE from Rob Burns (MD BU R) who received the variety in 1997 from Steve & Diane Raque of Virginia. It was passed down within Diane's family and named for her grandfather, Mr. Mastrodomenico, who brought the variety from Italy when he immigrated to the U.S. SSE Accession # 125883
