Plants 3-4.5' tall. Long and slender green pods curve slightly. Downy pods have 5-6 ridges per fruit. Slight red pigmentation on stems and petioles. Solid green leaves. Seed mature pods reach 7.5-8.5" long and 1" in diameter. Best eaten under 5" long. Very good flavor. Late maturing but highly productive. Donated to SSE by Robert Wood (KS WO R) who obtained this variety from A. Lieberwerth (NETH LI A). Lieberwerth first listed this variety in the 1992 SSE Yearbook Exchange and stated it was originally from India. A variety by this name is documented in India as one which was developed during the 1960s. SSE Accession # 114018
