C. pepo. Small, round, orange pie pumpkin. Very uniform fruit. Smooth rind. Slight ribbing. Fruit measure 5-6" long; 6-7" wide; and weigh 3-5lbs. Fruit have very long peduncles with sharp spines that make handling unpleasant. Yellow/orange flesh. Flesh 1-1.3" thick. Good flavor. High moisture. Dry matter content: 6.1%. BRIX reading: 6.5. Plants sprawl an impressive distance. Tremendously productive in 2015 growout at Heritage Farm. Susceptible to powdery mildew. Acquired by SSE from Gurney's Seed and Nursery Co.
