Georgescu

C. annuum. Square to slightly elongated sweet bell pepper. Very juicy, sweet, and overall good flavor. Pale green immature fruit turns orange-green and ripens to red. Ripe fruit measure 3-4.5" long, 2-3.5" wide, and weigh 4-8.5oz. Upright, open plants measure 3' tall. Green and purple stem. Ovate green leaves. White flowers. Brix 7.0. Moderately low productivity. Mid season maturity. Donated to SSE by John Pollack (NE PO J). John's father brought this variety home from Romania after receiving seeds from Dr. Georgescu who developed it; from Romania 1971.
