Grandma Baker's

Large, bright red globe tomato. Slightly flattened fruit are uniform in color and size. Short, bushy plants. Indeterminate growth, regular leaves. Good flavor. Moderately sweet with low acidity. Average skin thickness. Moderately recessed stem end with a wide pedicel scar. Mostly blemish-free fruit. 1-3 fruit per cluster. Ripe fruit measure 1.9-2.6" long by 2.4-3.6" wide and weigh 0.2-0.6lbs. Inserted stigmas. Average productivity. Mid-season maturing. Acquired by SSE from Bruce Van Order (NY VA B). Van Order first listed this variety in the 2003 SSE Yearbook Exchange, stating it was from his grandmother and was originally brought from Germany with the Hess family. SSE Accession # 127280
