Daylily, Orange

a.k.a. Ditch Lily, spreads by creeping small crowns of tubers which are edible from November to January after boiling for 15 minutes, orange flowers in late June, often found along roadsides, from feral population, must be ordered no later than the end of February, does not reproduce by seed.
