Prize Red

Beautiful red-green curly leaf lettuce that does not form a head at maturity but is quite vigorous and productive. Leaves are green with a burgundy tinge throughout, higly blistered and quite curly with slight toothing along the leaf margin. Flavor is bitter with a some sweetness and astringency and a nice crisp texture. Matures early to mid season and bolts late.Plants are between 15.5-19.5inches wide and 10-12 inches high.
