Mexico Midget

VEGETABLES / TOMATO
RED
60-70 days. Indeterminate. Heavily productive and vigorous plants yield hundreds of ½ inch, dark red cherry tomatoes on a skinny stem and branches. Fruits are packed full of well-balanced flavor that makes this variety perfect for adding to salads, fresh eating, and for marketing. Tomato grower Craig LeHoullier of Raleigh, North Carolina received seeds of this variety from Barney Laman of California at a National Gardening Association seed swap in 1990. Barney Laman claimed that his brother, a truck driver, collected this cultivar while driving in Mexico claiming that it was growing wild there. Regular leaf plants will continue generating fruits up until the last frost date.
