Heirloom introduced in 1854 at the Paris Exposition, brought to the US by William Woys Weaver. 12" tall bush, very prolific producer of small, stringless, curved 4" green pods. Long picking window. Dry beans are tiny and pale green and can be cooked like rice. Pods shrink tightly around the seeds.
