VEGETABLES / BEAN
DRY-BUSH
Bush Dry. First dry pods in about 85 days. Then pods dry sequentially over a period of about 3 weeks. Seed is nearly white and markings are very hard to discern when harvested new. Color and pattern develop over several months. Similar in color and pattern to Golden Bear Lake but the these two beans are not related. Seed of this bean is shorter and a bit wider. This bean began it's development in 2015 from beans left behind by Robert Lobitz after his passing in 2006. This Lobitz material was acquired in 2015 from Seed Savers Exchange member Ron Thuma (KS TH R) of Hartford, Kansas. I named the bean in 2020. All seed stocks are continuously freezer kept once dry enough for storage. Source: IL CR R 2020
