Plumbee

Appearance like a Keiffer, squat, but less grit and not as hard. A green, firm, sweet, and juicy pear. Taste similar to Lecontes. A cooking pear (makes excellent pear preserves) that can be eaten right off the tree. Tree is disease resistant and hardy. It ripens in late August to early September. Needs a pollinator.
