Uncle Jim Shutt’s Icicle

Seed of this Forsyth County NC heirloom was given to Old Salem Museum and Gardens by siblings Dorthy and Walter Craver. Used in their family for making icicle pickles, these cukes produce both green and white fruit, and taste best when eaten small. Dorthy and Walter trace this family heirloom back to around 1875 from their great uncle James Shutt.
