Frost Hardy, White flowered selection that is more suitable for human consumption (less toxin). Makes a great alternative to chickpea hummus. Seed used around Mediterranean all the way to India. most places still cultivate varieties with purple, blue flowers which contain high amounts of toxins, and when over consumed during times of drought/famine has ill effects. Also used as a cover crop.
