VEGETABLES / BEAN
SNAP-POLE
The classic variety discovered by Henry Fields somewhere in the Ozarks during the 1930s drought. Tolerates dry weather probably due to anthocyanin content, but also does well in wet conditions. Can be used as a shelling bean or picked young as a snap bean; has definite strings; usually has 2 waves of prolific bearing.
