Light yellow, highly flattened, ribbed beefsteak tomato. Tall, leggy, indeterminate plants. All fruit have cat-facing. Moderate to severe radial and concentric cracking. Fruit measure 1.75-2" long, 3-3.5" wide, and weigh 6-7oz. 2-4 fruit per cluster. Yellow flesh. Standard flavor. Meaty. Brix score: 4.8. Regular leaves. Intermediate productivity when grown in 2015 at Heritage Farm. Very late maturing. Donated to SSE in the 1990s by the late Walter Bumgarner (NE BU W) who obtained this variety from Shumway. When Bumgarner first listed it in the 1991 SSE Yearbook Exchange, he had already been growing the variety for at least 15 years, deliberately selecting for smother and more uniform fruits and achieving what he felt was an improvement over the original form.
