DENT
A white dent from Boone County, Indiana. Originally a section/cross of the now mostly extinct “Big White” in the 1860s (which I maintain in very limited quantities). It has many of the same traits, but has slightly heavier ears, matures slightly later, dries down slower, but can be grown in upper lever fields with less soil saturation. Basically an improvement to the original strain for drier Central Plains and Western G.L. states.
