SHELLING
Shelling pea. Straight, green pods measure 2.5-3" long. 6 or 7 peas per pod. One or two pods per peduncle. Shattering dry pods. Yellow, wrinkled seeds. Tall, vigorous plants grow 5.5-6.5' tall with one or two basal branches. White flowers. Highly productive when grown in 2015 at Heritage Farm. Mid-season maturing. Donated to SSE by Peter Erlandsson (SWED ER P) who introduced this variety into the 1995 SSE Exchange and indicated that the name translates as "Aunt Anna." He also described the variety as a Swedish heirloom from Skane (the southernmost county in Sweden) which he acquired from SESAM, a Swedish seed-saving organization. SSE Accession # 115758
