Giraumon de Martinique

Evaluated at Heritage Farm in 2025, description in progress. William Woys Weaver has been stewarding this squash since 1999 when he added it to his Roughwood Seed Collection. Dr. Weaver got his seeds from his friend Jessica B. Harris in the late 1990s. Miss Harris collected the variety in Martinique while doing promotional work for the island’s tourism industry. As part of her work, she visited many culinary sites and on one occasion, someone local gave her the seed. Donated to SSE in 2021. SSE Accession # 133909
