Yellow beefsteak. Fruit average 4" in diameter, 1lb. Severe radial cracking in 2011 and 2012 growouts. Moderate blossom end rot in 2011, slight in 2012. Medium acidity; sweet; very good flavor; thin skin; juicy; meaty texture. Late maturing. Indeterminate; regular leaves; inserted flower stigmas. Donated to SSE by Archie Hook. This variety is originally from a man named Hugh. It was passed around and grown in Mr. Hook's neighborhood since circa 1935. SSE Accession # 122057
