Lychnis coronaria

Rose campion mullein. An English cottage garden plant. Very striking and totally carefree! The gray leaves show off the brilliant magenta blooms. These self sow and grow in the gravel driveway in full sun. May require chilling to germinate so sow outside when frosty. Biennial/short lived perennial, When they are spent, pull up the plant and lay on earth where you want more.
