Seneca Bird Egg

Single Image
VEGETABLES / BEAN
DRY-POLE
Pole/Dry. 4 inch pods with up to 7 seeds per pod a little smaller than a navy bean. Productive even with the small sized seed the plants create a lot of volume of beans. A native American bean sent to me by a Seneca man from Pennsylvania. Grows very similarly to Buxton's Buckshot except with taller plants, identical looking, but longer pods. Pods are moderately constricted between seeds and have purple markings. Slightly larger seed than Buxton that is marked the same way. Seed rounded light cream tan with reddish speckles over the entire surface. Source: Phil Onodowaga '14.
