Sutton (pink)

Great flavor, large pink tomatoes. Jim Wyant received his seeds originally from Sharlene Knight of Newton, West Virginia, who received her seeds from Dennis C. Sutton of Wallback, West Virginia. They were old seeds (1975) and didn't germinate. The next year he gave her and her daughter, Tiffany Bowers, two tomatoes. They saved seeds. Dennis Sutton stated that his mom, Olive Wilson Sutton, stated in 1995 that she had grown it for 39 years. When she passed, her family placed a photo taken in 1982 of Olive and her husband holding the tomato on their tombstone. This is NOT the whitish beefsteak named Sutton.
