Frank Barnett

Developed in the garden of Frank Barnett of Georgetown, KY. This is a very high quality bean in the tradition of Appalachian tender podded beans: meaning the pods remain tender until the seed begins to dry down. Has heavy strings, which are easy to remove. Pods are slightly smaller than our family favorite, Tennessee Cutshort. But the quality and flavor is the same. Seeds are tightly packed in the pods, causing pronounced square ends. Seed color is "Kentucky Wonder Brown." Dry seed in 90-100 days. matures dry seed at about 100 days.
