Helianthus maximiliani

FLOWERS / MISC-FLOWERS
Maximillian sunflower is a perennial sunflower similar to jerusalem artichokes. It can be propagated by seed or by rhizome. The thick rhizome is edible and used for food by native american groups suck as the sioux. The flower heads are loved by insects and the seed heads are eaten by various wildlife. The land institute is experimenting with this species to create a perennial oilseed crop. You will receive 50 seeds. There are small seeds, not rhizomes, not tubers, not plants. You will receive them in a business envelope (with a stamp on it).
