VEGETABLES / SQUASH
C.-MOSCHATA
Organic Listing
Cucurbita moschata variety. Native to Florida, USA, where it was grown by Native Americans and early European settlers. My favorite winter squash/pumpkin. Resistant to squash vine borers and survives despite high populations of squash bugs. Drought & humidity tolerant and productive with vigorous vining habit. Had over 100 fruits from 8-10 plants. Delicious baked or steamed. Fruits have extremely hard rinds and can keep for over a year.
