Hindu

C. agryosperma. Winter squash, Cushaw-type, pear-shaped. Outside is white with speckly green and white stripes; interior is light orange, mild tasting, not too dense. Bottom part of the "bell" is hollow. Good producer, not very fussy about soil conditions, and despite being a hollow squash with a relatively tender skin keeps well for months. Seeds are almost white with a tan ridge around the outside. From an SSE member many years ago who said it was originally from India and very rare.
