C. annuum. Sweet, non-bell. Fruit squat bell-shaped and mature from green to red. Anthocyanin present on some immature fruit. Mature fruit 1.5-2" long, 2-3" wide, 2-3 oz. Plants erect with sparse branching 15-28" tall. Stems, stalks, and leaves green with no pubescence. Dark purple color at the nodes. Flowers white with evenly level stigma. Low productivity, severe lodging, and early to mid season maturity when grown in 2014 at Heritage Farm. Sweet, subtle flavor, very crisp, thick flesh. Acquired by SSE from Alice & Charles Estep (CA ES C) who received the variety from the Parker family in Ohio. SSE Accession # 117506
