Indeterminate weak climber. Pale violet flowers on plants with no pigmentation. Green pods horizontal on plans and throughout the canopy. Pods 4.75-8" long. Dry pods pale tan in color, slightly curved and typically have 8-10 seeds. Medium sized ovoid seeds are cream colored with tan eye. Late maturing and moderate yield when grown in 2015 at Heritage farm. Acquired by SSE from Southern Exposure Seed Exchange (CV So1), who indicated that it is an heirloom from Alabama. It is also named as one of the ‘Disappearing Foods’ of ‘Gumbo Nation’ in Gary Paul Nabhan’s “Renewing America’s Food Traditions”. SSE Accession # 108974
