Roots uniform, globe-shaped, white, 2.25-3" long and 2-3" wide, averaging a little over 6 oz. in weight, with no root hairs and the top 1" exposed above the ground. Plants 16" wide. Leaves lime green, oval, erect, 17.5" long, smooth on both sides, the petioles white with light green on back, the midveins white. Grown by Gene Forster in 2020 for the Collection Documentation Project; he described this as "a very large, sweet turnip. Excellent raw or cooked...good choice for those that don't like the typical turnip flavor." He reported that the raw leaves have a mild taste. SSE Accession # 127671
