Old Yellow Candy Stripe

Yellow tomato, ranging from a small globe to a beefsteak-type. Ripe fruit have a red blush at the blossom end. Slightly oblate (flattened) shape. Cat-face appearance rare. Moderately depressed shoulder. Immature fruit have distinctive dark green longitudinal stripes. Fruit born singly or in clusters of up to five. Indeterminate growth habit. Standard leaves. Slightly inserted flowers. Ripe fruit reach 2.4-2.8" long by 2.9-3.8" wide and weigh 7-16 oz. Average productivity when grown in 2013 and 2023 at Heritage Farm. Mid-season maturing. Donated to SSE by Neil Lockhart (IL LO N) who acquired this variety in 1998 from Glenn Drowns (IA DR G). SSE Accession # 126516
