AKA Sláva Porýni. One of the parent varieties of Stupice. Sláva Porýni, is an indeterminate, midseason regular leaf variety from the Czech Republic. It is a selection of Rheinlands Ruhm, a tomato of German origin, a cross of Geisenheimer x Lucullus in the Botanical Garden of Kosice (University of Safarik) in Czechoslovakia in 1941. The name translates to "Glory of the Rhine". It produces abundant quantities of 2-oz, 2-inch, red, smooth, round, slightly flattened two-chambered salad tomatoes with delicious, tomatoey flavors similar to Stupice. Fruit have the lightest touch of yellow areound the stem scare and have a great balance between meaty and juicy. Very mild subacid flavor, not sweet. Struggled in my zone 9a garden, would probably thrive in zones 6 and 7, similar to the Czech Republic.
