AKA Pomme d'Amour, Pomme de Ammore, Pomme d'Amour des Canaries. Indet., very vigorous plants with potato leaf foliage and high yield of early maturing very uniform oblong pink fruit with smooth skin, clean blossom ends all but devoid of a scar and almost no stem end scar either. They look like overlarge pink grapes. Average number of medium sized seeds. Meaty, low juice, mild flavor, not sweet. Texture is somewhat mealy. Very attractive small tomatoes, best used for sauce; they will take flavoring from spices and other vegetables quite nicely. 1-3 oz. Very productive and reliable. A classic French sauce tomato from the 1700s/Colonial era. First listing I know of was in the 1906 "Letort-Hennequin" catalog from Angers, France.
