Raw roots are dry, fibrous, and slightly bitter. Cooked roots are slightly fibrous and mildly sweet and spicy. Yellow roots range in shape from round to elliptic. Most roots have a green colored top, but several are solid yellow. Roots are half-buried in soil. Roots 3-6" long, 2.5-5.2" wide, and weigh 7.8-21.5 oz. Turnip, long top type leaves are glossy and light green. Plants 6.4-10.5" tall and 24-35" in diameter. Uniform planting. SSE Accession # 127674
