Abby's Swedish

Bush, wax bean. Yellow pods, 5.5-6.5" long. Rather firm/tough texture. Cook this one a little bit longer. 5-7 seeds per pod. White, kidney-shaped seeds. White flowers. Medium-high productivity. Early maturing. This variety of bean was introduced into the SSE Yearbook Exchange by John Hanson (MN HA J2) in the mid 1990s who also shared it with SSE. Of its history, John stated that this bean was given to him in the early 1970s by Abby Neubauer of Pine City, Minnesota. SSE Accession # 104227
