Pittsburg Paste as it is known in my garden is an ox heart variety with few seeds and a very meaty texture. These tomatoes are great for sauces and canning. Most get turned into FHF pizza sauce for winter pizza Fridays. Skins slip easily and you are left with an entire tomato that can go into the pot. The seeds were brought to the US from Italy by Arduino "Harvey" DiGiorgio. He grew them in the Stanton Heights section and would use manure from the pitt zoo. His daughter Carol had them before passing them onto her family. Indeterminate 6-12oz fruits
