Merrimack Wonder is truly wonderful and ought to be brought into wider circulation. This is a blocky, brilliant, waxy, green to red bell with thick sweet flesh. Medium sized plants produce abundant harvests early and continually until season's end. Bred by Professor J. R. Hepler at the University of New Hampshire and commercialized by the good professor's son, Billy Hepler, as early as 1947. Bred to prosper in the North bet I bet it could travel.
