VEGETABLES / BEAN
DRY-BUSH
Bush/Dry. First dry pod 97 days. Blossom white. 20 inch tall productive plants. Large rounded slightly oval seeds. On a trip to my brothers house in October ’78. Discovered a bean drying in my brothers garden in Browerville, Mn that seemed loaded with beautiful pods. The bean came from Kate Heiling who lived across the road. I asked Kate about the bean, but she only remembered growing it for a number of years. She didn’t remember the name. Thought it perhaps could have been a catalog purchase. To me the solid white bean always seemed just a little larger than many of the large white beans I’ve seen. Perhaps the personal connection I feel to this bean is the pleasant memory of a wonderful autumn trip to my brothers house. Reacquired seed again from my SSE donations list.
