Never Will

Non-ripening, round tomato that is green with a light yellow tint at maturity. Flesh is yellow with a red blush. Tart. Very firm. 2" diameter. A good keeper. Great for fried green tomatoes, relishes or pickles. Bush plants. Donated to SSE by Tom Wagner of Tater-Mater Seeds. Tom started breeding both animals and plants on the farm in 1958 when he was 13 years old, and this variety was one of the first breeding attempts that he made. He bred this tomato that never ripens as a prank with the hopes of fooling his friends. SSE Accession # 122021
