Uniform yellow roots with a deep yellow interior flesh. Standard flavor with smooth, moist flesh. Most are round, some are elliptic or transverse elliptic. Smooth skin with conspicuous lateral root scars. Roots are mostly buried in soil. Market mature roots are 3-4.5" long, 3-5" wide, and weigh up to 3lbs. Brix score: 8.0. Slightly pubescent, green leaves. Donated to SSE in 1998 by Clive Blazey of The Diggers Club in Australia. He received this variety in 1998 from Mrs. Hjortman-Punbbinen, an elderly Finnish seed saver in Yosemite, NSW, Australia. She stated this variety is originally from Finland. SSE Accession # 127693
