Boatwright

This is a medium sized pink beefsteak tomato. Fruits have wide pedicel scars and radial cracking. Susceptible to splitting. Leta Woolard of Mill Springs, Missouri began growing and saving seed from this variety in about 1984 when she received seeds from her neighbor, Edith Boatwright, who lived about a mile down the road. Edith had grown the tomato for about 13 years (since circa 1971), prior to moving into a nursing home. SSE Accession # 131793
