Pink beefsteak. Indeterminate growth, potato leaf. Quite tart/sour flavor. Not very sweet with a medium-high acidity. Meaty and fairly juicy. Average skin thickness. Strongly recessed stem end with a wide pedicel scar. Moderate radial cracking, slight concentric cracking. Minor cat-faced blossom ends. Variability in fruit size. 1-4 fruit per cluster. Ripe fruit measure 2.5-3" long by 2.8-4.2" wide and weigh 0.5-0.8lbs. Plants suffered from septoria leaf spot in 2014 growout at Heritage Farm. Average productivity. Mid-season maturing. Acquired by SSE from Neil Lockhart (IL LO N) who obtained the variety from Jeremiath Gettle (MO GE J) in 1999. This variety was introduced into the 1999 SSE Yearbook Exchange by Gettle who wrote that's from a Missouri family who brought it from Germany. SSE Accession # 126493
