Beefsteak, Old Fashioned

Plants indeterminate up to 6' tall with regular leaves. Flowers with exserted stigmas. Large red fruit with firm pink flesh up to 3 lbs. Fruit irregularly shaped, flat round are approximately 4-4.5" in diameter. Fruit have tender skin, high acidity, moderately sweet, and subtle flavor. Large blossom scarring. Donated to SSE by Wesley Bailey who obtained the variety from Mrs. Baker of Clarksburg, WV. Grown by Mrs. Baker's aunt and uncle before her. SSE Accession # 121455
