Early Silver Line

Attractive, yellow fruit with cream-colored stripes. Elliptical in shape with a bulbous blossom end that tapers slightly. Hard, thin, smooth rind has superficial ribbing. Fruit abscises from vine when ripe. Mature fruit reach 3-5" long by 2.5-3.5" wide and weigh 0.5-1 lb. Firm, white flesh is crisp and crunchy. Mild, slightly sweet flavor. Early maturing when grown in 2013 at Heritage Farm. SSE acquired this variety from the W. Atlee Burpee seed company. SSE Accession # 112995
