Wilson Pole

Pole, snap bean. Rather tough and stringy. Cook this one a little bit longer! Green pods, 5.5-6.5" long. 7-9 white seeds/pod. Medium-low productivity at Heritage Farm in 2020. Vigorous climber. Late maturing. Donated to SSE in the early 2000s by Geraldine Wilson. This bean variety is from her mother-in-law, Nancy Wilson, in 1940; reportedly grown for years in Pullman, West Virginia.
