Butterbush, White's Strain

Butternut type with a long, elegantly curved neck. Some variability in degree of neck curvature. Flesh is dark orange with a nice flavor. Moderately sweet flesh, smooth, and moist. Tan colored fruit rind. Fruit weigh 2-4 pounds. Plants are highly vining and quite productive. Donated to SSE by Kendall Armstrong (MO AR K) who acquired this variety from Garrett Pittenger (ONT PI G) in 1993. It was selected by SSE members Tom and Barbara White of Kellnersville, WI.
