Korjaj

VEGETABLES / SORGHUM
A Sudanese sorghum variety that is surprisingly well suited to production in nortnern areas like my own. Produces large, free-threshing heads of white grain. The grains are much larger than average size for sorghum. The stalks are also sweet, and can be pressed for sorghum syrup if desired. The stature of this plant is smaller than most syrup varieties, though, due to its earliness. Matures in approximately 100 days in my area, growing to approximately 6-7 feet in height. This may vary with latitude as I've seen reports that it is taller in the south.
