Cucumis melo L. variety from China's famous Hami oasis in Xinjiang province. Seeds gifted to me by a Chinese friend and grown out in Summer 2025. According to a Japanese-Chinese research paper, there are four main varieties of Hami Gua. Based upon that paper, I identified this variety as "chandalak" which is a round melon that matures earlier than other varieties. My first ripe melon was 120 days after sowing or 110 days after seedling emergence. Very tasty.
