Winter Walking Onion

Allium cepa proliferum; probably the same as Catawissa onion. Good growth all through winter; bulbs up to 20g; topsets purple and much smaller bulbils; commonly grown in the Ozarks since the Antebellum period. From: Garden of Ms. Keri White in the town of Clever, Missouri.
